US Retail Sales Exceed Expectations in September
US retail sales data for September showed a 0.4% increase, surpassing market expectations of 0.3%.
This marks the fourth consecutive month of better-than-expected retail sales growth.
Core retail sales also exceeded forecasts, growing by 0.5% in August, compared to the expected 0.1%.
The previous core sales reading was revised upward from 0.1% to 0.2%.
