US NONFARM PAYROLLS RISE BY 143,000 IN JANUARY, BELOW EXPECTATIONS
US Nonfarm Payrolls increased by 143,000 in January, below the 170,000 forecast.
December’s NFP was revised up to 307,000 from 256,000.
The Unemployment Rate dropped to 4% from 4.1%.
The Labor Force Participation Rate rose to 62.6% from 62.5%.
Annual wage inflation (Average Hourly Earnings) increased by 4.1%, above the expected 3.8%.
