UBS: Fed won’t cut rates until June after inflation data
UBS analysts believe the Federal Reserve will wait until June to lower interest rates.
This decision follows recent data showing weaker-than-expected core inflation.
The U.S. Labor Department reported a 0.4% increase in consumer prices for December, compared to 0.3% in November.
Over the last year, consumer prices rose by 2.9%, up from the previous 2.7% annual increase.
