JAPAN'S NATIONAL INFLATION SLOWS IN SEPTEMBER BUT BEATS EXPECTATIONS
Japan's overall inflation rate was 2.5% higher in September compared to the same month last year.
Core inflation, which excludes fresh food prices, grew by 2.4% year-on-year, slightly beating expectations.
Core CPI, excluding food and energy prices, increased by 2.1% in September.
These indices track changes in prices of goods and services purchased by consumers monthly.
Inflation remained steady overall, with some categories showing slight moderation compared to previous months.
