BLACKROCK POSTS RECORD EARNINGS, SHARES SURGE MORE THAN 2%
BlackRock, the world's top asset manager, had a great financial report for the last quarter of the year.
The company’s total assets grew to a record $11.6 trillion, up from $10.01 trillion last year.
The growth was driven by higher fee income, mainly due to strong performance in equity markets.
BlackRock's assets under management were $11.55 trillion in the fourth quarter, slightly up from $11.48 trillion in the third quarter of 2024.
The rise in assets is linked to the recovery of the US stock market after Donald Trump's presidential win, as investors expected lower taxes and fewer regulations.
