10-YEAR TREASURY YIELD DIPS AHEAD OF CONSUMER INFLATION REPORT
The 10-year Treasury yield dropped a bit before an important consumer inflation report.
It went down by 3 basis points, reaching 4.76%.
This is lower than the 14-month high seen on Monday.
The 2-year Treasury yield also decreased slightly by 1 basis point to 4.352%.
Yields and prices move in opposite directions: when yields go down, prices go up.
